On May 14, employees of the group of companies «Amber Galbin» participated in the online conference «Challenges and Threats to Business in Land and Subsoil Use». The event brought together executives, lawyers, engineers and experts from all over Ukraine working in the fields of mining, construction, agribusiness, energy and environment.
Participants discussed topical issues and problems that directly affect business under martial law: new reporting, legal traps in subsoil use agreements, difficulties with land plot approvals, risks during mobilization, and controversies in the tree felling procedure.
The participants paid special attention to the issues of legal certainty. In particular, certain legislative provisions in the field of subsoil use, which, according to Amber Galbin's lawyer, do not meet the principles of Articles 8 and 19 of the Constitution of Ukraine. This hinders the work of companies that have special permits.
In addition, the problems voiced include the need to obtain the consent of land users to work on land in permanent use, and the difficulty of approving deforestation on forestry plots.
It was important to participate in the conference because of the attention to these issues, says Ruslan Dyachuk, a lawyer with the group:
“I am pleased that the work is moving in this direction. I hope that the problems will be resolved as soon as possible at the legislative level. At least today, all the conference participants agreed on this. This will facilitate and speed up the work of holders of special permits for geological exploration and production.”.
